About Program
The SBIF Asha Scholarship Program 2024, one of India's largest scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under its education vertical - Integrated Learning Mission (ILM). This program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education. This scholarship is open to students from Class 6 to 12 and for those who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the top 100 NIRF universities/colleges. Selected students can receive a scholarship of up to INR 7.5 lakh to support their educational endeavors.
Eligibility Criteria
For Class 6-12 Students
Applicants must be studying in Class 6 to 12 in the current academic year.
Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 3,00,000.
Open for Indian nationals.
Note:
50% of the slots will be reserved for female applicants.
Preference will be given to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories.
For Undergraduate Students
Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 100 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.
Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.
The gross annual family income of the applicants must be up to INR 6,00,000.
Applicants should be Indian nationals.
Note:
Premier institutions and renowned colleges will include those listed in the top 100 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) List of top 100 NIRF Universities & Colleges 2024 and the List of Top 100 NIRF Universities & Colleges 2023 (released by the Ministry of Education, Government of India). Additionally, all National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will also be included.
Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.
