About Program
The Muskaan Scholarship Program 2024 is a CSR initiative by Valvoline Cummins that aims to provide educational support to children of commercial drivers (LMV/HMV), mechanics, and children from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. This scholarship program aims to support students in Classes 9 to 12 from the southern, eastern, and north-eastern states of India to meet their academic expenses by providing them with a grant of up to INR 12,000.
Furthermore, the selected students will receive mentorship support to assist them in overcoming challenges, setting goals, and attaining academic excellence. This mentorship initiative aims to foster confidence and self-belief in the students, empowering them to realize their fullest potential.
Eligibility Criteria
Students studying in Classes 9 to 12 are eligible for the scholarship.
Students from the southern, eastern, and north-eastern states (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha, Bihar, Puducherry, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal) of India are eligible to apply.
The scholarship is available to students from the following backgrounds:
Children of commercial drivers (LMV/HMV).
Children of mechanics.
Children from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category.
Applicants must have scored 60% and above in their previous class to be eligible.
The total family income from all sources should not exceed INR 8 lakh per annum.
Children of employees of Valvoline Cummins, Zameen Foundation and the service providers are not eligible.

Scholarship of up to INR 12,000 (based on actual expenses)
Mentorship support
Note:
The scholarship fund is solely for academic expenses, including tuition fees, books, uniform, and stationery.
Scholarship amounts may vary based on students' educational expenses.
The scholarship will be disbursed annually to recipients.
If a scholar submits monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly fee receipts, the fee will be estimated for the entire year, and the scholarship amount will be disbursed accordingly.
Valvoline Cummins will decide whether to renew the scholarship for existing scholars for the next year, subject to the availability of funds.

Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/ bonafide certificate)
Signed and stamped original marksheet of previous class
Documents to prove parent’s profession (choose one):
Commercial Driving License of the parent (Only for drivers)
Shramik Card
Confirmation from the employer or self-declaration letter duly attested by the authority.
Family income proof (choose one):
Income proof issued by Gram Panchayat/Ward Counselor/Sarpanch
Income proof issued by SDM/DM/CO/Tehsildar
Last three months’ salary slips or Income Tax Return (ITR)
Bank account details of the applicant

Note:
In cases where the student or their family cannot pay the institute and provide fee receipts, they can submit a fee letter issued by the institute to receive the scholarship amount in advance. However, they must subsequently submit the final receipts through the online scholar tracking system.
Students and their parents affirm that the documents provided and details filled in the application form are accurate.
