Eligibility Criteria for the MasterCard Scholarship 2024-25 at Makerere University
Applicants must qualify for admission to a Master’s Degree Programme at Makerere University-Main Campus and must apply for admission to the university. Only those admitted will be considered for the scholarship.
Applicants must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree studies in an African country.
Applications are restricted to individuals facing significant financial hardships, demonstrating the need for financial support to pursue their education.
Applicants must demonstrate leadership potential and have a record of community service or volunteerism.
Applicants should not be holders of any other scholarship and must not have registered for or completed any other master’s studies.
Applicants should not exceed 35 years of age at the time of the application deadline. However, applicants under the category of refugees and students with disabilities should not exceed 40 years of age.
Refugee applicants must be recognized and registered, providing proof of refugee status (refugee attestation) with the application form.
