About Program
The Louis Dreyfus Agri-Scholars Program 2024-25, an initiative by Louis Dreyfus Company India Private Limited, aims to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged students pursuing undergraduate courses in agriculture, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their educational progress. Both first and second-year students enrolled in agricultural courses are eligible to apply. Selected students from the College of Agriculture (Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology), Punjab Agricultural University (Ludhiana), College of Agriculture (Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur), and Anand Agricultural University (Anand) will each receive a one-time scholarship of up to INR 50,000 to support their academic journey.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to students in their first or second year of undergraduate courses in agriculture from the following colleges:
College of Agriculture (Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology)
Punjab Agricultural University (Ludhiana)
College of Agriculture (Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur)
Anand Agricultural University (Anand)
Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in Classes 10 and 12 examinations.
The combined annual family income of the applicants must not exceed INR 8,00,000 from all sources.
Applicants whose at least one parent is a farmer will be preferred.
Open to Indian nationals only.
Preference will be given to female students.
Children of employees of Louis Dreyfus Company India Private Limited, Zameen Foundation and Buddy4Study are not eligible for this program.
Benefits
Up to ₹50,000 as a one-time scholarship
Note: The scholarship fund will be disbursed directly to the scholar's institute, covering the entire year's course fee.
Documents Required
Proof of identity (Aadhaar card/ Ration card/ Voter’s ID card)
Current year admission proof (fee receipt/admission letter/institution identity card/Bonafide certificate)
Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
Availability of below documents to prove the parent’s profession (any one of the below documents, if applicable):
Kisan credit card
E-Shram card
Confirmation from the employer or a letter duly attested from the concerned govt. department
Family income proof (of one of them):
Income Proof issued by Gram Panchayat (signed and stamped)
Income Proof issued by Tehsildar/BDP (for rural areas)
Certificate from concerned authorities for a person having income from agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary sources.
Affidavit for orphans/single parent-child (where family lost the earning member)
Last three months’ salary slips/ITR/Form 16
BPL/Ration Card
Bank account details of the applicant (or parent)
