About Program

Italy is home to 61 vibrant public universities, 30 private universities, 11 public research organizations, groundbreaking university programs, AFAM (Centers for higher artistic education), and 339 courses conducted in English. Italy offers more than just Italian language education, providing a rich cultural and academic experience. The Italian Government Scholarship 2025-2026 is a fully funded scholarship designed for international students to pursue a master’s or PhD at top Italian universities. The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of 900 euros, covers tuition fees, and includes medical insurance.

Objectives

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers these scholarships to promote scientific and technological cooperation, international cultural exchange, and Italian language and culture. The scholarships support Italy’s economic system globally (According to Law 288/55 and its subsequent amendments). They are available for study, training, and/or research programs at Italian Higher Education Institutes, both public and legally recognized.

Benefits

The Italian Government Scholarship provides recipients with the following benefits:

Health and Medical Insurance: Grantees receive health and medical/accident insurance contracted by MAECI for the entire duration of the grant. Insurance coverage does not apply to events resulting from pre-existing conditions.

Tuition Fees : Grantees may be exempt from enrollment and tuition fees depending on each university’s policy. Exemptions do not apply to courses in Italian language and culture, for which enrollment fees are required.

Financial Grant : Grantees receive a monthly allowance of 900 euros, paid quarterly to their Italian bank account.
